Seven weeks old

Hard to believe my little man is seven weeks old. He's been helping mommy finish getting ready for Christmas and is quite the shopper.

So, who does he look like??

Audra posted her husband's baby picture this morning and her son, Koen, is a spitting image of his dad. I get different answers to this question when I ask people who Mason looks like, so I thought I would post our baby pictures to compare...what do you think?

Six weeks and growing strong!

It amazes me how quickly our little man is growing. I look back on his pictures from his first week and compare to now and it is quite the difference. We weighed him the other day and he is approx. 9 1/2 lbs compared to 8 lbs at birth. He is getting a personality, occasionally smiling and grining at Mommy and Daddy. He is starting to enjoy bath time and likes playing on his mat. Toys that flash lights and play music are his favorites. I cherish all of these moments since I know he will only be little like this once. He is already growing too fast for my liking!

SNOW??? In Houston???

Mason had an exciting 5th week- we had snow in Houston! It started snowing around 10am Friday morning and continued for several hours. Here are a few pictures of the yard.

We got a new video camera just before Mason was born, so I'm testing upload of a video to the blog. Riley likes to take her toys and swing them around, it's quite amusing! We're looking forward to being able to post videos going forward!

Happy 4 week birthday, Mason!

Mason has been very busy lately. He had his newborn pictures last Monday and got a tour of mommy's hometown, West Columbia. That afternoon, he got to meet his girlfriend Natalie who shares his birthday. (I will post pics of that later...he is so big compared to little petite Natalie!). He is 4 weeks old today and is growing rapidly. We tried to put his newborn hats on him for his pictures, but they do not fit any more. Thursday, Mason had his first Thanksgiving in Brenham and got to meet several of his relatives.

Happy 1 Week Birthday, Mason!

It's hard to believe that last night was exactly a week from when Mason was born. Time has already flown by and it is amazing how far we have come in a week. He is feeding well, getting a little more on a schedule (even though his days and nights are mixed up!), and we are all adjusting well! He is such a good baby and makes things seem so easy. I even survived my first day home alone with Justin back at work- no tears, which meant success!

Mason has arrived!!!

We are so thrilled to announce Mason's arrival! After a very long day, Mason Cade arrived into the world at 6:27pm on November 2nd weighing in at 7 pounds 15 ounces and 19 inches long. For being 10 days early, we were quite thankful Dr. Wilson agreed to induce. He appears to favor Justin the most in looks and is quite adorable to look at. We are really thankful that everyone is happy and healthy!

He is feeding well and being such a good baby. Mom and Dad can't help but cuddle with him constantly.

Mason's Baby Shower Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend that put a much better close to a stressful week! After spending the first part in the hospital with pre term labor symptoms and staying in bed the rest of the week, the weekend was a nice break. Justin's family came in for the weekend and my baby shower was on Saturday. My friend's threw a wonderful shower and we were really blessed by the gifts they gave to help us get ready for Mason's arrival.

Our 1st Anniversary

Justin and I spent a wonderfully relaxing 1st Anniversary weekend at the Westin La Cantera in San Antonio. The weather was gorgeous and the resort was wonderful, I just wish the college football had a little better outcome. We both enjoyed the downtime- especially since we know we won't get much of it in the future! Here are a few pictures from the weekend, including my latest bump update- 30 weeks! He is growing and growing. Only 10 more weeks tops until Mason arrives. We still have lots to do to prepare for his arrival.
