Two Months Old

Mason has had quite the busy week so far. Monday, we went to Mommy and Me Yoga with our friends Cathy and Hudson. Mason loved it and it was a great workout for me. Working out is hard enough after not exercising for 2 months and even harder while carrying around a 13lb Mason! After yoga, we headed to lunch with Cathy and Hudson.

Mason had his Two Month pictures taken yesterday and he did wonderfully! He is really smiling and laughing now. He loves to interact and such a happy kid. Some of the pictures are posted below. That afternoon, we decided to try out the jog stroller since it was a nice day. There may have been more walking than jogging, but we both enjoyed the fresh air. Unfortunately the weather will be way too cold to get out the rest of the week, but we will have to go again once it warms up.

Today, Mason had his 2 month checkup and his first round of shots. He is in the 75 percentile for both height and weight and doing great. He now weights 13 lbs 11 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long! He has gained almost 6 lbs and 4 1/2 inches since birth. He did as well as can be expected with his shots - 2 in each leg. We both shed a few tears and he has been sleeping all afternoon recovering.

Mason had a wonderful first Christmas, despite both mommy and daddy being sick! Luckily, he was a trooper and never got sick. Even better, he was great for Mema and Papa while they helped take care of him! Here are a few pictures from his Eighth and Ninth week:

Seven weeks old

Hard to believe my little man is seven weeks old. He's been helping mommy finish getting ready for Christmas and is quite the shopper.

Audra posted her husband's baby picture this morning and her son, Koen, is a spitting image of his dad. I get different answers to this question when I ask people who Mason looks like, so I thought I would post our baby pictures to compare...what do you think?

Six weeks and growing strong!

It amazes me how quickly our little man is growing. I look back on his pictures from his first week and compare to now and it is quite the difference. We weighed him the other day and he is approx. 9 1/2 lbs compared to 8 lbs at birth. He is getting a personality, occasionally smiling and grining at Mommy and Daddy. He is starting to enjoy bath time and likes playing on his mat. Toys that flash lights and play music are his favorites. I cherish all of these moments since I know he will only be little like this once. He is already growing too fast for my liking!

SNOW??? In Houston???

Mason had an exciting 5th week- we had snow in Houston! It started snowing around 10am Friday morning and continued for several hours. Here are a few pictures of the yard.

We got a new video camera just before Mason was born, so I'm testing upload of a video to the blog. Riley likes to take her toys and swing them around, it's quite amusing! We're looking forward to being able to post videos going forward!
